Who this editorial policy covers
Every guide and service page names its author or reviewer. Our guides are written and reviewed by Nguyen Quoc Trung, Deputy General Director of Nhan Kiet Supplying Manpower Company, a workforce and payroll company founded in 2009 and licensed for labour sub-leasing since 2015, with input from the payroll and HR specialists who run these processes for clients every month. It applies to our guides to hiring in Vietnam, EOR cost in Vietnam and Vietnam work permits, to our employer cost calculator and to every service page.
Trung has more than 10 years of experience in workforce, payroll and labour compliance services in Vietnam; see his author profile.
The sources we use
- Primary legal texts first. Laws passed by the National Assembly, government decrees and ministry circulars, read in the official text published in the Official Gazette or on government portals.
- Specific citations. We name the law or decree and, where it matters, the article, so readers can check the rule themselves. Each guide ends with a sources section.
- Market data is labelled. Figures that do not come from the law, such as other providers' public price lists, are marked as market data and described as ranges.
- Our own prices are our offers. Published Nhân Kiệt prices are the prices we quote to clients.
How we check facts and figures
- Rates, caps, deadlines and thresholds are checked against the legal text before a page is published or updated.
- Cost tables on this site are generated by the same code as our calculators, so a table and a calculator never show different numbers for the same salary.
- Practical advice comes from how we run payroll, insurance and work permit processes for our own clients.
How we keep pages up to date
Vietnamese employment figures change on fixed dates: regional minimum wages usually change on 1 January and the base salary on 1 July. We review affected pages when a new decree takes effect and show the date of the last update on each page. Pages that depend on a rate also say which decree the rate comes from.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email info@payrollservices.vn with the page address and the correction. We check the report against the source, correct verified errors and update the page date.
Not legal advice
Our guides give general information about Vietnamese rules. They are not legal or tax advice for a specific situation, and local practice can vary by province. For a specific hire, ask our team.
